Laurent Laporta is born in Antwerp. He discovered at an early age drawing and at the age of 15 he started painting in his parents’basement. 

Graduated with a master’s degree in graphic arts, Laurent continues his career working in an creative agency while painting at night in his studio. 

In 2018 Laurent started painting with a vibrant color s even using aerosol. Pencils, markers, pastels, acrylic, gouache, industrial paint and spray cans are now his favorite tools. 

Color, dynamics and the relationship between the two form his main field of research. 

‘My work, just like our lives, is a mix of spontaneous, unplanned moments and delibarate purposeful actions’.
